College reading, writing, and critical thinking with a major research component. Reading, writing, and research assignments are based predominantly on non-fiction texts.

This section is an in-person class with scheduled meetings at Ocean campus. This section requires the use of Canvas. Coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet-enabled device. This section is linked to the TRIO Writing Success Project. A tutor supports students in the class, and students can connect to additional coaching, advising, and other student support activities. See for more info. In this course, we will explore the thematic question: What are the realities behind the major myths about America?
