Independent Study allows individual students to explore academic interests in Philippine Studies through guided research projects. Students are required to either write a research paper or give a presentation on their work.
PHST10 is an independent study course and has no scheduled class meetings. Students will be required to set up three individual meetings over the semester to assess the progress of your project. This course requires the use of Canvas. All coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet enabled device. Be advised that this course is designed to allow students to delve deeper into the study of Philippine history, culture, society, and/or language. It is strongly advised that you have taken a Philippine Studies course, or any course on the Philippines, prior to enrolling in this course.
