Music Mixing Studio

Project-based course designed as a continuation of BCST 125A for intermediate-level students focusing on their skills in professional sound recording and mixing. Practice in the development of workflow and etiquette required in a professional
mixing studio environment will be further developed using tech-enhanced materials.

Music Recording Studio

An introduction to the analog and digital multi-track techniques used in various stages of professional sound recording as well as the workflow and etiquette required in a professional recording studio environment. The processes of capturing basic tracks and overdubbing will be examined using tech-enhanced materials.

Advanced Design: 3D Foundations

An introduction to the basic elements of three-dimensional form and design, including concepts and language fundamental to all art making. This course covers design innovation and prototyping while applying the structural and visual elements of three-dimensional design, which applies to a wide range of artistic, technical, and industrial fields.

The Link Center is a student resource center offering safer sex supplies, education materials, mentoring, support, and referrals. We have computers and a printer for student use. We have study areas and a small inner conference room available for students to reserve. The LINK Center is a place to study, connect with other students and receive peer support and referrals.

Open Educational Resources (OER) is defied by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as: "any type of educational materials that are in the public domain or introduced with an open license. The nature of these open materials means that anyone can legally and freely copy, use, adapt, and re-share them. OERs range from textbooks to curricula, syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, test, projects, audio, video and animation.

The Guardian Scholars Program is committed to helping current and former foster youth college-bound students complete their educational goal in areas such as: Associate Degree, Transfer, and Certificates by providing comprehensive support services.

The program provides direct services, such as academic counseling, financial aid assistance, book vouchers and transportation passes, to assist with college costs, and referrals to community-based resources as needed and available.
