The student chefs of the Culinary Arts & Hospitality department: create, prepare, cook and serve ALL of the food produced in the Main Cafeteria and our Quick Service restaurant. These are our hands-on labs to practice what we learn in the classroom. In an effort to expose our students to different cultural & ethnic food styles, the Quick Service space, our lab, will regularly reinvent itself.
The Wellness Center was completed in 2008 and replaces the North and South Gyms. It houses state-of-the-art exercise equipment, gymnasium and pool. City College’s Wellness Center creates a first-ever front door for the campus on busy Ocean Avenue. StepÂping up its hillside site, it welcomes thousands of stuÂdents a day who arrive from the Balboa BART station, ushering them into the activity-filled building or up the grand lobby staircase and out onto the campus.

Mental Health Services offer personal counseling to provide a confidential, safe place where you can focus on your concerns and we can help you deal with whatever’s getting in the way of living your life in the most fulfilling way.
Cost & Eligibility
There is no fee for any student currently enrolled in a credit class. However, you must call to cancel any appointment you are not able to make – no-shows count against your total visits, and can result in denial of services.

- Printing Policy: $.15 per page, please coordinate payment with student lab monitor
