2-1-1 Bay Area, a program of United Way, is the comprehensive information and referral service for San Francisco, San Mateo, Napa, Marin, Santa Clara, and Solano counties. We connect over 37,000 Bay Area callers and texters each year with information about health and human services available to them.

The Career Center counselors strive to assist students to develop skills to succeed in college, graduate, earn certificates, transfer, and to create and to maintain meaningful careers. Career counselors are here to help you in reflecting on your interests, strengths, and skills and guide you in exploring your educational, career and job options.

Advanced Medical Surgical and Community Health Nursing

This course explores theoretical content and clinical practices with a focus on current therapeutic treatment modalities and nursing management for advanced medical/surgical patients, including studies of cancers, burns, shock, leadership, and management, as well as heart, respiratory, neurological, and renal failure. Community health nursing involves topics such as home health care, long-term care, rehabilitative and hospice care, as well as disaster nursing.

Maternity and Pediatrics

Presents the principles and practice of nursing care in Maternal and Child Care. Individualized, culturally appropriate nursing care for the new mother and neonate. Health maintenance, disease prevention and common childhood diseases and abnormalities from birth to 18 years old.
